The NOVOSAD & SON Glassworks and Brewery is another interesting place worth seeing, located just a 20-minute drive from Szklarska Poręba. The brewery in Harrachov is one of the attractions often visited by tourists. Its charm lies in offering various ways to spend time in one place. NOVOSAD & SON Brewery (Glass Factory and Brewery Novosad & Son) is a stylish, typical brewery restaurant, unique mainly because of its own beer production, which takes place before the guests' eyes. Harrachov's unfiltered beer with live yeast is exceptional due to its excellent taste and high quality. The flavors of beer from this brewery can also be tasted at the Czarny Kamień Resort & SPA restaurant.
The brewery together with the restaurant is located on the premises of the oldest private glassworks Novosad & Son in the Czech Republic (founded before 1712). The museum has collections of historic glass from the Harrachov glassworks production, representing all production periods and manufacturing technologies. There is also an exhibition dedicated to the development, history, and successes of local skiing.
The glassworks can be visited throughout the week (Monday to Sunday) from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Nearby, there is also a large self-service shop selling local glass products. During the visit, you can see the exhibition of products, the glassworks hall with furnaces, and the grinding workshop.
