The Panczawa Waterfall is the highest waterfall in the Karkonosze Mountains and the Czech Republic. Not seeing it while being so close would be a great loss, and each of the routes involves being close to nature and incredibly beautiful views. There are different ways to get to the waterfall from Szklarska Poręba.
Its height is 148 m, and the total height of all cascades is 250 m. The waterfall is located on the Czech side of the Karkonosze Mountains in the Panczawy Cirque above the Elbe Valley.
How to get to the Waterfall?
You can reach the Panczawa Waterfall from the Szrenica side via the red trail through the Elbe Spring and Łabska Bouda. The distance one way is 5.3 km, walking time 1.5 hours. Alternatively, from the Śnieżne Kotły via the yellow trail, then the red trail through Łabska Bouda, the distance is only 2.9 km with a walking time of about 1 hour. The third option is the route from Harrachov, which is relatively easy; the waterfall is about 1 km from the Łabska Bouda mountain hut. In the summer season, you can reach Łabska Bouda also from the Czech side (Harrachov) by bus or the Medvědín chairlift.
